Energy efficient, safe, cost effective* and environmentally friendly solution for

Carbon Capture

Capsol Technologies' CapsolEoP® is the technology of choice for Stockholm Exergi's large-scale Bio-energy Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) project at Värtaverket - a combined heat and power (CHP) plant in the heart of Stockholm. When operational in 2026, this plant will be capturing 800 000 tonnes of CO2 per year, making Stockholms Exergi's CHP plant Europe’s first large-scale negative emissions plant

* In numbers for cement:

Energy is responsible for 60-75% of the operational costs of a carbon capture plant.

CapsolEoP® uses 40-50% less energy than other technologies, reducing the cost per tonne captured with 20-30%.

If the cement plant is connected to a district heating network, the cost savings are higher.

Standalone units powered by electricity only

No need for modification or investment in external steam production to run the carbon capture unit
