- Investment in Hot Potassium Carbonate Â
(HPC) technology for carbon capture to support Holcim’s decarbonization roadmap - Broadens Holcim’s wide range of decarbonization technologies
Holcim has invested in Capsol Technologies, a listed Norwegian company specializing in carbon capture technologies. Capsol’s post-combustion carbon capture and heat recovery system delivers superior efficiency with a proven and safe hot potassium carbonate solvent (HPC). HPC technology is a mature, energy-efficient chemical absorption process used to remove CO2 from gas streams, that is widely applicable in post-combustion carbon capture. As the leading partner for sustainable construction, Holcim aims to apply Capsol’s technology to further advance its decarbonization roadmap and drive profitable growth.
