Proven technology, adapted for Waste-to-Energy
Capsol’s technology platform uses HPC - a stable, non-toxic solvent - to capture CO₂ from WtE flue gases efficiently. Our CapsolEoP® (End-of-Pipe) solution is particularly suited for WtE plants because it combines high performance with low dependency on plant steam.
How it Works:
✓ Flue gas is compressed to 5-10 bar
✓ Heat from flue gas is recuperated to reduce energy demand
✓ The cleaned flue gas is expanded to recover compression power
✓ CO₂ is absorbed in a packed column by the HPC solvent
✓ The CO₂-rich solvent is regenerated at atmospheric pressure using heat supplied by MVR systems
All required heat is provided electrically, eliminating the need for additional steam from the plant.
